The old four-tier setup made people guess which one they were. The new setup names what each plan is for, so the choice is obvious.

Both let you build with chat, remix from the App Market, create projects from scratch, take your app live on your own domain, and send emails to your users.

Studio adds:

• Publish to the App Market - share your apps with the wider Caffeine community
• More credits - 100/month vs Host's 20
• Buy a domain through Caffeine - Host gives you BYOD only; Studio lets you purchase
• Collaborate on a project (coming soon)

If you've built an app and just want it running, Host is enough. If you want to keep shipping, you want Studio.

You move to Host at the switchover. Cheaper, same tier of features.

You move to Studio. Studio is $25 a month, which is less than Plus was. Everything Plus did, Studio does, and unlimited marketplace apps.

Studio gets 100 credits a month where Plus got 110.

Plus annual subscribers receive a credit voucher of 10 credits every month for the rest of the subscription term to cover the difference. Vouchers are applied on your subscription renewal date.

Plus monthly subscribers move to Studio immediately, but with no change to current subscription credits until renewal.

You move to Studio. Studio gets 100 credits a month where Pro got 400.

Pro annual subscribers receive a credit voucher of 300 credits every month for the rest of the subscription term to cover the difference. Vouchers are applied on your subscription renewal date.

Pro monthly subscribers move to Studio immediately, but with no change to current subscription credits until renewal.

No. Your subscription continues as agreed.

• Plus yearly: you keep your full features at the cheaper Studio price for the rest of the term.
• Pro yearly: you get a 300-credit voucher monthly for the remaining months to cover the gap.

If you're subscribed, plan credits carry over.

If you're on Free, your existing credits get a 30-day clock at the switchover. You don't receive a fresh 15 welcome credits. The clock starts on whatever balance you already have. Use them or subscribe to keep building. Host is $5.

Daily credits encouraged people to build something on Free and then walk away. The new structure rewards subscribers. If you want to keep building, Host is $5 a month.

New free tier users will receive 15 credits on sign up. These credits are yours for 30 days, after that they expire. Subscribe to Host or Studio for subscription credits, and to purchase top-ups.

No. To take your app live on its own URL, you need Host. To publish to the App Market, you need Studio.

Existing Free users with live apps, your apps will remain live, but to iterate on your app users will need a Host or Studio subscription.

No. Free is for trying Caffeine - you build by remixing existing projects from the App Market. Creating from scratch is available on Host and Studio.

Yes. Up to 3 projects, and up to 3 drafts per project. Host and Studio are unlimited.

• Host - Bring your own domain. We give you the DNS records; you configure them.
• Studio - Buy a domain through Caffeine, we configure it for you, or bring your own. Either works.

If you're on Studio, they stay published.

If you're on Host, your App Market listings are unpublished at the switchover. Your projects aren't deleted - they leave the public marketplace until you upgrade to Studio.

Included on Host and Studio. Not available on Free.

You get the new plan's features and credits immediately.

The cancellation flow shows you exactly what you'll lose - credits, dollar value, App Market listings - before you confirm. After confirming, the lower plan's limits apply at the next billing cycle.

If you downgrade from Studio to Host, your App Market listings come down. Your projects stay.

Your subscription runs to the end of the paid period. After that:

• All credits from top-ups and vouchers are cancelled
• Live apps are unpublished
• App Market listings come down
• Projects above the Free limit (3) are blocked - Upgrade to Host or Studio to access your app.

The cancellation flow warns you about all of this before you confirm.

Tentative launch date: June 1, 2026. The new plans go live and existing subscriptions migrate automatically.

If you're a subscriber, no. Your plan migrates automatically.

If you're on Free, you have 30 days to use your existing credits or subscribe to keep them. After 30 days, daily free credits stop and your balance resets.

You get a 10-credit voucher applied automatically every month for the remaining months of your term, on top of your Studio plan's 100 credits/month.

Credit vouchers and top-up purchases both require an active subscription. They're cancelled if you cancel.
