Vercel is where developers deploy front-end apps they have already built. Caffeine is where the app gets built in the first place — and hosted, with data-safe updates, as part of the same subscription.
This is less a rivalry than a category difference. Vercel is an excellent deployment platform: if your team writes Next.js or other front-end code, Vercel turns a git push into a fast global deployment, with previews and analytics developers love. Everything before that push — designing, coding, wiring a backend, auth — is still your team's job, and everything after it is your team's bill.

Caffeine apps are hosted on the Internet Computer as part of the platform — that is what enables data-safe updates and zero infrastructure work. You can export the code to GitHub or as a ZIP whenever you want, but the hosted app itself doesn't need a separate deployment platform.
