ABOUT THE APPShelf is a private reading life manager for people who read seriously and want a calm, non-social place to keep track of their books and notes. It’s designed for long-term use, with data kept to yourself.
Use Shelf to maintain a personal library with reading status, write a reading journal with Markdown, and capture passages in a commonplace book. Add titles to a to-read list with priority and notes, then check a dashboard with reading stats, streaks, and a year-in-review view. Shelf also includes global search (Cmd+K), warm dark mode, and multi-step onboarding to help set up your reading preferences.
You can export all your data as JSON and plain text, and Shelf can use Open Library to look up book metadata.
